My name is Jack Connelly (He/Him) and I'm 19 years old. I've been writing poetry for about 2 years now so I still consider myself somewhat new.
Some of my favorite poets are Milton, Blake, Byron, Poe, Keats,Whitman, Yeats, Kerouac, and Ginsburg.
I think poetry is the most raw form of art there is. Poetry allows to really strike at the core of a humans soul and allows it to linger on. Words have an important impact on Humanity, for thousands of years stories of past generations were passed on through voice. As long as there's a voice to speak and a soul to feel, poetry will forever live on.

Dear our darling readers, writers, photographers, etc.
Thank you all so much for the never-ending support we've received from you all! This first issue has been such a delight to put together. We honestly could not have done any of this without all of you.
We here at Poetry as Promised Magazine are a two person team completely and wholeheartedly dedicated to art.
As much as we would love to shout our names from the rooftops to claim credit for all of this, we prefer to remain anonymous. However we will add some little facts about us to help you know us, as we know you.
